CERTIFICATION BY THE INTERNATIONAL THERAPY COUNCIL (ITEC)
Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) has been certified by the International Therapy Examination Council and approved for certification in various categories.
Founded in 1947, ITEC is an international examination board, operating in over 38 countries worldwide offering a variety of qualifications in the Beauty and Spa industry. ITEC qualifications are accredited by the UK government and regulated by the Department of Education. ITEC’s qualifications are supported by the industry and are easily transferrable on an international level. It further ensures that best practices in the work place are reflected in the school’s syllabus and each qualification for its coursework is fully relevant to the job role. ITEC certification prepares students for the high standards of the international employment world.
Beauty Schools of America® is only one of five schools across the country to receive International Registration status from the ITEC and the only one in South Florida. Currently, Beauty Schools of America® offers students ITEC diplomas or certificates in the following programs:
- Cosmetology
- Barber
- Spa Therapy
- Full Specialist with Salon Management
- Comprehensive Facial and Makeup
- Massage Therapy
- Makeup Artist and Skin Care
BSA offers all exams in English and Spanish for your convenience.
Being ITEC certified will compliment and jump start your career. Each certification focuses on the qualifications that cover both theory and practical skills. The ITEC diploma/certificate is designed to provide occupational capability for employment and/or provide a sound platform onto further learning and training. There are a few requirements students must meet in order to complete the ITEC certification process.
- Create a portfolio
- Take a theory exam (multiple choice)
- Take a practical exam (hands-on)
All the tools and skills necessary will be provided by our Beauty Schools of America® ITEC certified instructors.
NOTE: If you are interested or would like more information on how to become ITEC certified, please inform your Admissions Representative with at least 6 weeks prior to your program’s completion. If you are an international student, you must notify your Admissions Representative upon enrollment of your interest in becoming ITEC certified.
