INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Thank you for your interest in attending Beauty Schools of America®. This section contains important information regarding admission to the school as an M-1 student. Please read all the information carefully. If you have any questions call your International Admissions Representative; they will be happy to assist you.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The International applicant who wishes to study at Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) must have the following:

  • Possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Have all documents translated into English by a professional certified translator
  • Submit original documents, which will be returned to the applicant upon review by the International department
  • Complete all forms in their entirety – An incomplete form and/or missing documents will delay the admissions process
  • Have all forms typed – No handwritten forms will be accepted
  • Have a valid passport
  • All required documentation applicable

Shannon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Maryland, University College and is currently obtaining a Masters of Arts in Instructional Systems Development from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Shannon intends to use the hands on experience she has gained over the years, coupled with her academic training to develop and implement quality instruction that will optimize learning for adults.

Barlett is a Certified Nail Technician Beauty Schools of America graduate (2003). Upon her completion, she studied along with Gina Silvestro (Celebrity Nail Artist and Akzentz International Certified Educator) between 2007 – 2009. First, she became a Certified Akzentz Gel Technician, then Certified Akzentz Senior Gel Technician and finally in 2009, she became a Certified Educator with Akzentz. In 2010, Barlett opened Harmony Nail Studio in the Bahamas.
