Financial AidFederal Pell Grant The Federal Pell Grant Program provides needs-based grants to low-income undergraduate students to promote access to postsecondary education. All students are entitled to apply for a Federal Pell Grant. Financial need is determined by the U.S. Department of Education using a standard formula, established by Congress, to evaluate the financial information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and to determine the family EFC. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) This is awarded to those with financial need who have not yet received a bachelor’s degree. Priority is given to students who are already receiving a Pell Grant. Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant Program (FSEOG) The FSEOG Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students to promote access to postsecondary education. For those who meet their requirements, these programs can help with tuition and its affiliated costs, such as books and supplies. Federal Stafford Loans The Federal Stafford Loan is available through the Federal Family Educational Loan (FFELP). The student loans program (FFELP) makes higher education affordable and accessible to millions of students and their families. The FFELP is a public-private partnership created by Congress in 1965 to deliver and administer guaranteed education loans. The FFELP provides the following types of loans for postsecondary education and training:
Florida Prepaid College Board (does not endorse any particular educational institution) The Florida Prepaid College Plan allows families to prepay the cost of college tuition, required fees and dormitory housing – guaranteed! The plan covers the actual cost at any Florida public college or university, or you can transfer the value plan to the majority of colleges in Florida, technical schools, and out-of-state colleges. Vocational Rehabilitation Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal-state program that works with people who have physical or mental disabilities to prepare for, gain or retain employment. VR is committed to helping people with disabilities find meaningful careers. VR approves the curriculum at Beauty Schools of America® to assist students with their financial needs. Private Loans There are various private institutions that offer educational loans to help relief the cost of tuition, books, and any additional cost related to your education. A co-signer may be required by the institution to meet all their requirements. Interest rates are variable and are usually based on the prime rate or the Treasury Department (inquire with various financial institutions, such as banks for rates). Payment Plans Interest free, in-house payment plans are available to assist you in making your education more affordable. *NOTE: Some of the aforementioned financial aid assistance available have deadlines that must be met in order to qualify.
